Team Nassp ?????

The line up above…….are these the new members of Team Nassp????…………not so fast, from left to right.  Me, brother Brooke who can handle pass but doesn’t kitesurf, Brother Morgan who tore knee ligaments and broke a rib in ‘08 and brother Jamie who loves to play the bag pipes.  Who will join the team and go to France to compete for the World Championship crown in kite speed?

Team Nassp was notified this weekend that the French speed event in Port Saint Louis has been scheduled and that it will qualify as the 2009 French Championships and the 2009 PKRA World Speed Sailing Championships.  The event runs from March 30th to April 5th.

All the equipment is in production and is scheduled to arrive ahead of schedule.  Coach Gebhardt is ready and Jamie Douglas and Damien “Mr. Positive” Leroy are expected to attend their first speed events for Team Nassp after successfully passing their speed qualifying exams last month.  Their top speeds are confidential but both riders possess different skills that will help Nassp depending on the wind conditions.  Rumors exist that Coach Gebhardt was attempting to throw away his play book and whistle and jump on the boards to compete but his skills and knowledge as a coach far outway his top speeds.  The coach is very hungry for the green light.

John Amundson Customs and the Nassp team have amicably gone in different directions for the 2009 season.  The Nassp boards are being made by another shaper  (Hint:  Mr. Z. makes some of the best race boards in the world) and I am expecting excellent results from Mr. Z .  Coach calls him “the most dedicated board builder on earth.”

Cabrinha’s kite designer Pat Goodman has made the adjustments and modifications to the race kites.

Curits from Curtisfins and I have finally agreed on the templates, foils and areas for the next batch of fins.

Dakine will again provide the best accessories to control the power of the kites and boards.

We leave for France on the 23rd of March.  Does anybody else want to go race the French?

 Will advise

Rob
